The Carlo Gavazzi RZ3A60A25 is a three-phase solid state rated for 25 amps per-phase at line voltages between 42Vac and 660Vac in a 40°C ambient. Designed for superior performance and reliability in demanding industrial applications, the RZ3A60A25 three-phase solid state relay utilizes back-to-back SCRs to switch power to/from AC loads. This minimizes overall power dissipation and increases the solid state relay’s ability to withstand surge currents.
The input of the RZ3A60A25 can accept control signals between 24Vac and 275Vac, or 24Vdc and 50Vdc. The control circuit will draw less than ≤15mA at the maximum specified input voltage. The input of the RZ3A60A25 three-phase solid state relay controls all three outputs, making them an ideal power-switching solution for most three-phase loads.
The RZ3A60A25 three-phase solid state relay uses zero-crossing optical isolators to trigger the output SCRs. When an input signal is applied, the output of the solid state relay will not conduct load current until the AC mains passes through the zero-crossing point of the sine wave. This greatly reduces inrush currents and minimizes the level of conducted emissions coupled onto the AC mains by the solid state relay.
Typical Carlo Gavazzi solid state relay applications include resistive heating control, motor control and some lighting control systems.
Additional features and benefits of the Carlo Gavazzi RZ3A60A25 solid state relay include:
- Direct bond copper (DBC) substrate for superior thermal performance
- LED input status indicator
- Integrated overvoltage protection
- Integrated RC snubber network
- IP10 touch-safe housing
- Agency approvals: UR/cUR, CSA and CE
A heat sink and thermal compound are normally required to prevent a solid state relay from overheating during normal operation. HBControls can pre-assemble the RZ3A60A25 three-phase solid state relay onto a wide range of DIN or panel mount heat sinks. Please contact us at email@example.com / 800.879.7918 if you’d like to receive more information on pre-assembled solutions for the Carlo Gavazzi RZ3A60A25 solid state relay or if you’d like to discuss specific application requirements.
